Huddle Up Moms is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower mothers through education, connection, and support. We aim to fuel meaningful connections within our community by working collaboratively with other organizations that promote women’s health and wellness. We believe that all mothers deserve to flourish in all aspects of their lives.
Our mission is to empower, educate, and support mothers in Southwest Virginia by fueling meaningful connections within our community. We believe that all mothers deserve to flourish in all aspects of their lives. We believe that it takes a village to raise a family, and no woman should feel isolated. We believe in empowering women to prioritize their well-being and in connecting mothers to resources they need to be happy, healthy, and confident.
We began as a group of women who came together for the Southwest Virginia Mom Expo in 2019 with the goal of empowering and educating parents on a range of topics, including exercise, physical therapy, self-advocacy, neurobiology, gynecology, nutrition, and mental health. Through the Mom Expo, we learned that there is an untapped opportunity to connect mothers to each other and to resources in the Roanoke area.
We're not meant to mother alone. As you build your village, something incredible happens - you become part of another mom's village too. Join Huddle Up Moms at Be Her Village: Navigating Motherhood as we take the journey through motherhood together. Whether you're looking for support in your professional life, with home & family, or to fully embrace your authentic self - the 2022 Summit will inspire, empower, and elevate how we think about motherhood today.
This year’s Summit will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10am - 3pm at the Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC) School of Medicine & Fralin Biomedical Research Institute.
Motherhood is a journey and we are continuously evolving throughout the different spaces in which we live. The 'journeys' and tracks that our Summit will focus on are Navigating Your Professional Identity, Navigating Your Relationships, and Navigating Your Authentic Self.
Attendees will be able to participate in small group discussions with experts, interactive and engaging activities and sessions with community partners and maternal health providers, and network and meet health professionals, community leaders, and Huddle Up Moms Huddle Leaders.
We know it takes a village to raise a family and we want to provide women the resources they need locally to build that family...
